Normal servicing refers to the basic cleaning of filters, coils, and drainage and includes checks for visible issues. This is ideal for maintenance. Chemical overhaul is a deep cleaning with biodegradable chemicals to remove stubborn dirt, mold, and grease. This includes dismantling of internal parts for thorough servicing.
A gas top-up refers to refrigerant replenishment for cooling efficiency. Typically, gas top up might be needed once or twice a year. If you require a gas top up more than twice a year, you should highlight it to our technician and we can conduct a leakage check.
Some signs that indicate a chemical overhaul is needed includes an aircon with poor cooling ability despite clean filters, a compressor that is heating up too fast or overheating, and if visible mold or foul odors are present. We always recommend that you first arrange for a normal servicing session. Our aircon technician will advise you if a chemical overhaul is required.
